UK charts: Four Switch titles in top ten despite PS5 and Series X

The latest UK video game charts are now available and its been a big week for the video game industry. While the PlayStation 5 has yet to launch here in the UK the games were on sale this week and dispatched to customers. and both the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles from Microsoft launched. For the first time in 13 years Call of Duty didn’t make its debut at No.1 making No.2, instead it was Ubisoft’s impressive looking Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Here’s the GfK Top Ten for the week ending 14th:

“Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Switch falls to No.5 after a slight 7% drop. And Super Mario 3D All-Stars falls one place to No.7, despite the game’s sales actually increasing 40% week-on-week. Nintendo has begun a new UK TV marketing campaign for the Mario collection.”
