Andbox Reveals NYSL $100K WarzoneMania Tournament – The Esports Observer|home of essential esports business news and insights

New York Subliners owner Andbox announced that its Call of Duty League team will be hosting a $100K USD tournament called the NYSL $100K WarzoneMania on Dec. 10 and Dec. 12. The online Call of Duty: Warzone tournament will kick off with a live team captain draft on Dec. 1, featuring New York players and top Call of Duty talent from around the world.

The draft will take place via social media and will let the community decide on eight of the 20 captains from a list of popular players, with the remaining team captains selected by NYSL. This will be followed by a live draft on Twitch hosted by Chris Puckett where the team captains will select their teams of four players.

On top of the $100K prize pool, $25K will be given away during the tournament in the form of prizes to viewers.

Last week NYSL celebrated the launch of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War by launching an old-school telephone hotline for the game with its partner Metro by T-Mobile.

Note: Andbox Advisory Board Chairman David Levy will take part in the panel, “Media Veteran Weighs-In on Esports Investment and Plans Going Forward,” at Esports Rising on Nov. 19.
