Global esports tournament organizer ESL announced Thursday that non-alcoholic beer brand Bitburger 0.0% has been named an official partner of ESL One Germany and all ESL Dota 2 esports efforts in the country.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Bitburger 0.0% has cooperated with ESL over the last two years in Germany, serving as a partner and supplier of the ESL One Hamburg Dota 2 competitions. In June that partnership was expanded on a national level and the brand was named an “official refreshment partner” for various ESL competitions. In addition, Bitburger 0.0% supplied beverages to staff and players, and was featured in pre-match broadcast segments during ESL Meisterschaft competitions for Dota 2 and Warcraft III: Reforged.
This year ESL One Germany will be produced from a virtual studio and will be held completely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament will be played in a SWISS format until Nov. 1 and will feature a total prize pool of $400K USD.
